The Team:
Analytics is part of Jobber’s Strategy & Analytics organization, our internal consulting group - they’re the decision support mechanism that connects data & business insights with the rest of the organization. In essence, Analytics is a central function that exists to drive business outcomes in all corners of Jobber’s ecosystem.
As a Customer Analytics Manager, you’ll work as a trusted partner to stakeholders within your domain, contributing high-quality analysis and insights that inform strategy, execution, and ongoing optimization.
The Role:
As a Customer Analytics Manager, you’ll operate as a senior individual contributor, leading analytical work through influence, expertise, and strong partnership rather than formal people management. Reporting to an Analytics leader within your respective team, you’ll own end-to-end analyses that support key initiatives, from problem framing and data exploration through to insight delivery and recommendations.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to understand their goals, translate complex and sometimes ambiguous questions into analytical work, and help drive data-informed decisions that meaningfully impact the business. Along the way, you’ll contribute to raising the bar for analytical quality at Jobber by sharing best practices, participating in peer reviews, and supporting the growth of other analysts through collaboration and informal mentorship.
Depending on the team, this role may focus more heavily on areas such as customer lifecycle performance, marketing effectiveness, cross-functional strategic initiatives, or revenue and retention dynamics. Regardless of specialization, all roles share a common foundation in analytical problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and thoughtful storytelling with data.
As an Analytics Manager, you will:

Partner with stakeholders to understand business questions and translate them into well-scoped analytical projects.
Conduct exploratory and performance analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across your domain.
Develop and track metrics and KPIs that align with team and company objectives.
Evaluate the impact of initiatives and experiments, helping teams understand what’s working and where to iterate.
Experimentation & Advanced Analytics
Support experimentation efforts by contributing to test design, measurement frameworks, and post-analysis.
Apply analytical techniques such as cohort analysis, segmentation, scenario analysis, and impact measurement to inform decisions.
Collaborate with peers in Analytics, Data Science, and Business Intelligence to ensure analytical rigor and consistency.
Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
Communicate insights clearly through presentations, dashboards, and written summaries tailored to your audience.
Build strong relationships with partners by providing timely, reliable, and actionable analysis.
Contribute to planning discussions by bringing a data-informed perspective to trade-offs and priorities.
Team & Craft Development
Contribute to shared analytics best practices, documentation, and standards.
Participate in peer reviews and knowledge sharing to strengthen analytical quality across the team.
Support the development of junior analysts through collaboration and informal mentorship.
To be successful, you should have:
Expert-level SQL skills, with the ability to work efficiently across complex relational data structures; experience with Python is an asset.
Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, with a focus on creating clear, compelling, and actionable visual narratives.
Strong applied analytics experience across performance measurement, exploratory analysis, scenario analysis, and impact evaluation; exposure to predictive or simulation-based methods is a plus.
Solid business acumen and a strategic mindset, with the ability to frame analytical approaches, assess trade-offs, and support high-impact initiatives.
A passion for storytelling through data, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear and influential insights.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence decisions within your domain.
A proactive, ownership-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for better measurement, deeper insight, or improved decision-making.
Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and adaptability, with the ability to solve open-ended problems and navigate ambiguous or incomplete data in a dynamic environment.
Experience with SaaS business models, customer lifecycle metrics, or domain-specific analytics (marketing, product, or customer) is a plus.
You should also:
