About the Team:
Grindr is an AI-native platform powering how millions of gay people connect globally. With 15M+ monthly users, 130B+ annual messages, and a team of fewer than 200, we move fast, stay lean, and tackle technical problems at a scale few companies ever see.
The Core team owns the heart of the Grindr app—profile, chat, inbox, and the core experiences millions of users touch every day. They’re driving a huge impact by modernizing legacy systems, breaking up the monolith into scalable microservices, and rebuilding the UI with the latest frameworks to unlock the next wave of DAU/MAU growth. As an iOS engineer on Core, you’ll shape the everyday experience of our users. You’ll lead the charge in modernizing our iOS stack, rewriting key surfaces with the latest frameworks, and partnering closely with backend and Android to define how Grindr’s core product evolves.
At Grindr, we operate in Grindr Mode. Moderately hardcore day to day, truly hardcore when it counts. It’s about doing great work without burning out. Outcomes over outputs. Smart, driven people who raise your bar, with room to live full lives.
