Senior 3D and Technical Artist
Generalist 3D Artist with experience in both organic and hard surface modeling,
sculpting, and integration across various game engines. The ideal candidate will possess
a keen eye for design and a strong technical background.
Key Responsibilities:
ā Collaborate with designers and other artists to establish project requirements
and timelines.
ā Work with other areas to address and resolve asset-related issues.
ā Develop prototypes and concept models to communicate ideas and design
intent.
ā Create high-quality 3D models, including both organic and hard surface assets.
ā Sculpt detailed assets.
ā Refine and optimize meshes for real-time applications.
ā Perform retopology and optimization of meshes to ensure performance in
pre-rendered animation, real-time, or simulation environments.
ā Conduct performance profiling and optimization to maintain frame rates and
visual fidelity.
ā UV map and texture 3D models with attention to detail.
ā Create materials and shaders for various projects.
ā Light different scenes effectively.
ā Animate assets as required.
ā Create and implement particle effects and simulations.
ā Render stills and animations.
ā Handle post-processing tasks.
ā Ensure the quality of every piece produced.
ā Mentor junior artists and provide constructive feedback on their work.
Experience Requirements:
ā Proven experience working with various file formats and migrating assets
between them, including OBJ, FBX, CAD files, USD, and other proprietary formats.
ā Experience preparing, integrating, and optimizing assets for game engines,
including Unity, Unreal Engine, and Omniverse, with the capacity to adapt to new
engines as needed.
ā Experience with virtual reality (VR) or augmented reality (AR) projects.
ā Experience with rigging and skinning characters for animation.
ā Familiarity with real-time rendering techniques and optimization strategies.
ā Familiarity with cross-platform development and optimization for various devices.
Technical Skills:
ā Familiarity with game development pipelines and workflows.
ā Proficiency in creating efficient UV layouts and understanding texture atlasing.
ā Knowledge of Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, or Cinema 4D.
ā Experience with Marvelous Designer or Clo3D.
ā Proficiency in ZBrush, Substance Designer, Substance Painter, and Substance Sampler.
ā Competence in Photoshop and Illustrator.
ā Familiarity with After Effects and Premiere.
ā Experience with Unity, Unreal, and the Omniverse Suite
Houdini experience highly preferred.
