Summary
Responsible for applying coating (powder coating or spray paint) to castings on a regular basis. Operate hoist equipment for parts up to 50 pounds.

- 1st Responsibility - Ensuring personal safety and the safety of your team members.
- Assist supervisors and managers in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Wear appropriate PPE which may include fall protection, respiratory protection, hearing protection, foot, hand, head, and eye protection.
- Use proper lifting and ergo techniques.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material or equipment needs.
- Follow detailed job specific instructions to make sure castings are produced in the most efficient manner and to meet customer specifications.
- Conduct daily inspection of equipment.
- Perform color changes required by customer specifications.
- Apply specific coating to parts.
- Inspect raw castings for defects before powder is applied.
- Empty waste hoppers and returns powder to storage daily.
- Notify supervisor of errors or equipment stoppage.
- Clear equipment at end of operating run and reviews schedule to determine next assignment.
- Record problems which occurred, such as down time, and actions taken.
- Meet or exceeds hourly production rates every hour.
- Maintain cleanliness of the production area.
