Data Engineer GCP & SAP

Project Description:
We are building a cross-company Google Cloud Platform called “Energy Cloud” as the central data hub for our digitalization efforts. The goal is to automate end-to-end business processes and enable data-driven decision-making. Our existing Google Cloud instance will be expanded by integrating further relevant data sources and establishing a modern, scalable data architecture. Our interdisciplinary data science team shall be complemented by Data Engineers who help design sustainable solutions for data structures, data pipelines, and data products.

Activity Description:
You will join a small team of mainly data scientists. Our key priorities are implementing solid data structures and use cases concerning all areas of the company based on the highest business value, i.a. energy procurement, management of energy consumption, battery storages, optimization of technical facilities, …. The person to join the team will be inserted directly in a virtual team and will work closely with the German-based data scientists and business owners on 1-2 business areas. Work will mostly be virtual with dedicated onsite sessions in Germany. Key success factors in the position are not only relevant skills, but also the ability to acquire business knowledge/terminology, build an understanding of the relevant business data and understand the needs of business owners.
