Responsible for selling and securing SGS Agricultural commodities services to new customers and prospects
Generate, cultivate and close leads and opportunities to meet individual targets and support SGS Mozambique and regional sales strategies in accordance to SGS Mozambique, Natural Resource team鈥檚 annual goals.
Responsible for building effective and professional relationships and close cooperation with key internal customer and support teams, including client services, technical and operational teams.
Sales
Execution of sales to raw materials importers as well as to producers and processors of agricultural products, manufactures, importers, distributors, warehouse operators and agents etc.,
Develops sales plans with manager to ensure the achievement of annual targets.
Develops and maintains relationships with potential/target customers.
Manage sales cycle and move events and activities to close leads and opportunities.
Follow all reporting and web/call leads to meet company mandated time frame.
Consistently and accurately provides sales reports and other reports timely as required by management.
Works closely with SGS executing affiliates to present valued-added solutions to prospective customers.
Issues proposals and negotiates fees, terms and conditions as necessary.
Works with client service team to ensure ease and transparency of client information and requirements for order process.
Visits potential customers to prospect for new business.
Be highly proficient selling and presenting SGS services related to Agricultural commodities inspection and testing.
Constantly and proactively seeking latest industry trends with the ability to propose new SGS services.
Engage with local markets to determine trends and competitive environments;
Analyze customer issues and recommend appropriate solutions;
Maintain professional and technical knowledge with appropriate tools or resources;
Prepare sales presentations and keep record of sales trends;
Securing meetings and present Service Proposals in the most advantageous way;
Create, Negotiate and Close Service Agreements and Contracts;
Prepare and manage Quotes and Tender Proposals by supervising cost calculation and internal rate structures.
Marketing/Promotion
Accountable for preparation of sales and marketing material;
Promote the image, capability and integrity of the company to the Clients;
Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products;
Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.;
Attend exhibitions and other promotional activities;
Support group customer focused initiatives and ensure regular customer survey is undertaken to measure and satisfaction and results shared internally.
