The Field Service Technician is a front-line representative of TOMRA to our customers, so outstanding customer service is essential. This position will be required to interface with our customers, (retails and shopping centres) as well as members of the public, daily at sites throughout Singapore.
The first stage of this position is to ensure trial RVM’s are installed and maintained, showcasing the quality of our processes, products and service. Once a network of equipment is fully rolled out, a Service Technician is field based, primarily working at customer sites throughout Singapore and occasionally in our office.
Whilst you will visit the TOMRA office and/or warehouse occasionally for administration and to collect spare parts, you will mainly be on the road extensively within your respective region.
- Installation, set up, service, repair, modify, upgrade, commission, recondition, calibrate, cleaning and test of our systems.
- Reporting on service assignments and faults (online and/or paper)
- Training customers and new colleagues
- Driving for long periods as required for the above; attending to some occasional call-outs outside your area; attending to call-outs outside business hours as and when required.
- Providing excellent customer service to our customers retail outlets and occasionally to members of the public if required.
- Monitor RVMs using TOMRA back-office systems
- Work closely with the service team
- Demonstrate responsibility for health and safety by safeguarding own wellbeing, avoiding risks to others, reporting hazards promptly, and complying with TOMRA SAFE Standards.
- Any other tasks in support of the business as required
- Manage and maintain tools, test equipment, technical documentation, and assigned van kits/spares to ensure completeness and compliance with inventory requirements.
- Analyse areas of potential improvement of products and report to local service team.
- Stay informed and up to date with TOMRA’s RVMs and products.
