SGS is currently looking for Quality Assurance Inspectors (Electrical and Instrumentation) to work on a contract basis.
The E&I Inspectors will be set up as contractors and be contacted when work is available. It is not full-time hour work. It could be short term contract (a few days) to longer terms (a few months).
Scope of work:
- The scope of work includes verifying electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems against design specifications, industry standards, and client requirements to ensure quality, safety, and compliance. Key tasks involve inspecting installations, witnessing tests such as loop checks and calibration, reviewing documentation (ITPs, certificates), documenting non-conformances, and generating detailed inspection reports.
- Inspect and verify that all electrical and instrumentation components and installations meet project specifications, client requirements, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, IEEE, API).
- Examine electrical systems, including wiring, cable trays, grounding, and lighting, as well as instrumentation components like transmitters, valves, and control panels.
- Oversee and witness critical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, such as loop checks, insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, and the calibration of instruments.
- Review and verify quality documents, such as Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Calibration Certificates, and As-Built documentation.
- Identify potential issues or defects by raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), tracking them, and assisting in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Ensure that all inspection and testing activities are performed safely and in strict adherence to site-specific HSE requirements.
Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports outlining findings, recommendations for corrective action, and the overall status of the E&I work
