SOSi, is seeking a highly qualified Logistics Manager to support our Missions Solutions Business Unit through our DOD approved SkillBridge program. In this role, you will gain valuable work experience through specific industry training and development. In this role, you will gain valuable insight in the areas of logistics management, transportation management, warehouse support, property management and operations support.
Essential Job Duties
Coordinates the planning and implementation of business logistics and maintenance activities; scheduling, allocation; communicates with staff in accordance with established policies and objectives to affect optimal utilization of logistics support services.
Responsibilities:
- Foster a team-oriented work environment and maintain positive relationships with staff.
- Provide PR/PO support with the Missions Business Unit.
- Coordinate local dispatch activities with the local dispatch team.
- Comprehensive schedule planning based on available resources.
- Upholding policies, programs, and procedures for local dispatch operations, including schedules, rates, proper uniform standards, routes, assignment of drivers and vehicles, and other HHGs operational activities.
- Submits recommendations for development of, and compliance with, logistics policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensures compliance to agreements and contracts entered into by the company.
- Works directly with the Missions Business Unit to ensure compliance, adherence to regulations, permit requirements, licensing and driver qualification.
- Collaborates with Operations Team to monitor the proficiency and recommend process improvements and training solutions to enhance the service to the client.
- Reviews and analyzes reports, such as revenue and performance records to recommended process improvements.
