Overview
SOSi is seeking a Senior level Physicist (Scientific Support) to provide technical and scientific analysis to support counter WMD proliferation intelligence support. The role focuses on advancing the clients' Science & Technology objectives related to WMD threats, including traditional and emerging threats. The Physicist will apply advanced scientific principles to develop medical countermeasures and assess capability gaps while coordinating with various stakeholders in the nuclear, chemical and biological defense community.
Essential Job Duties
- Apply a graduate level understanding of Physics to support DTRA's Science & Technology objectives.
- Provide R&D analysis to the Joint Science and Technology Office Nuclear, Chemical & Biological Technologies Department.
- Assess capability gaps and assist in setting project and product-level strategy and priorities.
- Coordinate and consolidate complex technical and strategic responses for division initiatives.
- Liaise with industry, government, and academia to evaluate and analyze novel technologies and research proposals.
- Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Program (NCBDP) community.
- Provide technical evaluation and recommendations for proposals and reports.
- Brief technical and senior leader audiences, formulating presentations for reviews and requests for information.
