SOSi is seeking a Senior Systems Administration Support Specialist (UNIX/Linux OS) in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate will possess senior-level expertise in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of UNIX and Red Hat-based server environments. This role involves managing complex open source and proprietary architectures, overseeing specialized Linux applications, and ensuring the stability of critical command and control or commercial communication systems in support of theater-level mission requirements.
Essential Job Duties
- Provide senior-level technical support for the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of UNIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server-based operating systems.
- Oversee the configuration and performance of UNIX/Linux-based applications, including HP-UX, Solaris, or Red Hat specific environments.
- Manage resource allocation, kernel tuning, and system performance for UNIX-based architectures to ensure high availability and resilient performance.
- Lead the deployment and maintenance of Linux-based server workloads, ensuring efficient integration with enterprise storage and network resources.
- Ensure the availability and integrity of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by enforcing strict STIG compliance, security patching, and vulnerability remediation for all UNIX/Linux assets.
- Provide situational assessments and utilization metrics to address emerging UNIX/Linux system requirements and theater-wide processing initiatives.
