The Role
The Product Manager plays a key role in the growth, sustainability, and improvement of the CIS product range. He/she manages the full lifecycle of one or more products (aligned with the PLP) in order to maximize revenue, market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while ensuring alignment with portfolio and group strategy.
Reporting to the Industrial Director, the position holder is responsible for products or product lines such as HCVM XT, HCVM XL and their derivatives, including associated subsystems, in coordination with other product managers.
The role has a truly global scope: it supports all SD regional teams and markets, in close collaboration with business development and marketing, and its activities are validated by the Industrial Director in accordance with the defined strategy.
Main Responsibilities / Duties
- Efficiently manage resources across the site (CoE/factory), suppliers, regions, markets, customers, partners, and affiliates.
- Be responsible for the MRD and PRD: define, align, and drive cross-functional activities to ensure product鈥搈arket fit and consistency with strategy and roadmap.
- Develop, launch, and manage project/program plans to ensure deliveries that meet customer expectations and financial targets.
- Lead the PLP process and its stages for the entire product portfolio.
- Act as a bridge between technology, sales, programs, marketing, and service to define product specifications; coordinate R&D and design reviews for NPIs.
- Support sales and pre-sales teams during bids and proposals, particularly for technical and compliance aspects.
- Update technical content for sales and training materials; prioritize product improvements and assess their ROI.
- Lead CoO and VAVE initiatives to optimize margin and competitiveness.
- Analyze the market to optimize product segmentation, targeting, and positioning.
- Manage customer complaints and lead cross-team corrective actions.
- Lead new product development and rationalization projects in line with the PLP.
- Implement product launches, sales support, and promotions.
- Capture and communicate the VOC (voice of the customer) and critical customer requirements.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers and government officials; provide product proposals and solutions.
- Collaborate with government affairs to leverage DRM/DRP-related processes.
- Work with manufacturing and sales to establish reliable forecasts.
- Analyze competitors, strengths/weaknesses, pricing, and margin-improvement opportunities; conduct annual price reviews for products and parts.
- Define service concepts in coordination with the service team, in accordance with the PLP.
- Ensure compliance with DfS, DfM, and VAVE principles.
- Apply platformization across the entire product range, aligned with the division.
