Job Description
We are hiring a Sales Manager (Automotive Sector) based in India, with dual reporting to:
General Manager Automotive (UAE), and
Sales Director (Mumbai, India)
The role focuses on driving accessories/automotive parts sales, identifying new market opportunities, generating leads, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring consistent follow-ups and client engagement. This is a hands-on, âground runningâ role for someone who enjoys field sales, prospecting, and building relationships with OEMs and automotive stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to grow accessories/parts business and expand the customer base in India.
Market Opportunity Identification: Research and identify new market opportunities for automotive products/services, with strong focus on OEMs and key stakeholders.
Lead Generation & Prospecting: Drive cold calling, networking, and prospecting to build a strong pipeline; maintain and grow a qualified lead database.
Pipeline & Follow-up Management: Ensure systematic follow-up with prospects and customers; nurture leads through the pipeline to closure.
Client Engagement & Coordination: Build relationships, understand client requirements, coordinate meetings/events/presentations, and keep stakeholders updated on progress.
CRM & Client Data Management: Maintain accurate activity logs, communication records, and opportunity status in CRM; ensure timely updates and next actions.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting: Provide regular updates on pipeline, conversion, sales vs. plan, market pricing, trends, and competitor insights; support annual budgeting.
Product Promotion Support: Support marketing/promotional activities (trade shows, client events, presentations) to promote products.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, engineering, operations) to ensure smooth delivery and effective communication of client feedback.
Customer Support: Handle client inquiries and coordinate timely solutions with GM/DGM and internal teams.
Travel: Extensive travel across India; regular travel to UAE/Dubai as required.
