- The role involves protecting premises by preventing unauthorised access, monitoring alarms, CCTV, and conducting patrols, while enforcing security procedures, responding to incidents, and maintaining accurate logs and reports. The officer supports health & safety by giving safety guidance, reporting hazards, defects, and near misses, and assisting with first aid and emergency procedures. Responsibilities also include loss prevention through reporting damage, theft, and operating security equipment, performing stop and search, and aiding investigations. High-quality customer service, professional communication, and representing company values are essential, alongside completing handover, paperwork, and promoting security awareness. Key competencies include self鈥憁anagement, decision making, communication skills, operational excellence, and relationship building & teamwork.
