ProSidian Consulting seeks a Paralegal/Legal Assistant โ Level II to support and participate in a project supporting a Federal Government Agency Contract focusing on Financial Crimes Enforcement. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant โ Level II plays an integral role by effectively participating in day to day operations and by offering quality service and excellence in the administration provided for the ProSidian Engagement Teams services supporting the Federal Government Agency Contract.
The duties of this position include performing a broad range of advanced skills and expertise in the Federal sector: responsibilities may include but are not limited to addressing management concerns in accordance with agency policies, assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities, as needed, in support of the training process and performing and tracking day-to-day training matters. The Paralegal/Legal Assistant Level II requires more independent judgment than at the paralegal/legal assistant level I position. In addition to administrative assistant level I duties, The ProSidian Consulting Engagement Team Member support includes the following: review case materials to become familiar with questions under consideration; search for and summarize relevant articles in trade magazines, law reviews, published studies, financial reports, and similar materials for use of attorneys in the preparation of opinions, briefs, and other legal documents; prepares digests of selected decisions or opinions which incorporate legal references and analyses of precedents involved in areas of well-defined and settled points of law, interview potential witnesses and prepare summary interview reports for the attorney's review; participate in pre-witness conferences, note possible deficiencies in case materials (e.g., missing documents, conflicting statements) and additional issues or other questionable matters, and request further investigation by other agency personnel to correct possible deficiencies or personally conducts limited investigations at the pre-trial stage, prepare and organize trial exhibits, as required (e.g. statistical charts and photographic exhibits), verify citations and legal references on prepared legal documents, prepare summaries of testimony and depositions; and draft and edit non-legal memoranda, research reports and correspondence relating to cases.
