ProSidian Consulting seeks a Legal Assistant – Litigation Support – Level V to support and participate in a project supporting a Federal Government Agency Contract focusing on Financial Crimes Enforcement. The Legal Assistant – Litigation Support – Level V plays an integral role by effectively participating in day to day operations and by offering quality service and excellence in the administration provided for the ProSidian Engagement Teams services supporting the Federal Government Agency Contract.
The duties of this position include performing a broad range of advance skills and expertise in the Federal sector: responsibilities may include but are not limited to addressing management concerns in accordance with agency policies, assisting in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, events and other similar activities, as needed, in support of the training process and performing and tracking day-to-day training matters. In addition to the Legal Assistant Level IV duties, the Legal Assistant Level V duties include: rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; and report to a legal executive and is able to manage other legal assistants. A wide degree of creativity and latitudes is expected. The Legal Assistant Level V must be a graduate of an accredited law school with six to eight years of experience and admitted into the state bar. In additional to the Legal Assistant Level III duties, the Legal Assistant Level IV requires formal training in legal research and methods, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, over six years of related experience. In addition to the Legal Assistant Level II duties, the Legal Assistant Level III leads others, and requires formal training in legal research and methods, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and four to six years of related experience.
In addition to the Legal Assistant Level I duties, the Legal Assistant Level V requires formal training in legal research and methods, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and two to four years of related experience. The Legal Assistant Level I support includes: provide assistance to attorneys in preparing legal documents; perform legal research and compile data from a variety of reference sources such as digests, encyclopedias, and practice manuals; perform document preparation (especially during discovery and production support) including reviewing, organizing, numbering, and indexing); capture documents on some sort of media for document conversion (magnetic, CD, microfilm); convert documents to image (such as tiff or pdf) or to text; perform computer-assisted research on systems such as Lexis and Westlaw. The Legal Assistant Level I requires formal training in legal research and methods, and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and zero to two years of related experience.
