ProSidian Seeks a Lessons Learned Knowledge Management Specialist (SCA Code: N/A) in CONUS/OCONUS - Richmond, Virginia to support an engagement for a combat support agency in the US Dept. of Defense who's Analytics Center of Excellence works to expand its capabilities to support the agency with cutting edge, operations research and data science analytics and by leveraging the latest developments in analytics technologies and methods. The agency’s automated knowledge management system that supports the implementation of the Joint Lessons Learned Program with workflow processes that facilitate the collection, tracking, management, sharing, collaborative resolution & dissemination of lessons learned to improve the development/readiness of the Joint Force.
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide Lessons Learned Program Knowledge Management Operational and Retrograde Support including analytical and program management support in the Lessons Learned (LL) Knowledge Management Program arena, principally focused on theater operations support, retrograde and the return supply mission areas. This program will facilitate the collection of lessons learned, observations and recommendations relative to a wide range of Agency policies, practices, processes and procedures.
The ProSidian Team shall provide experienced and knowledgeable consulting services in support of the Knowledge Management Program and collect data through the use of the DOD system of record, Joint Lessons Learned Information System (JLLIS), for knowledge management and lessons learned. This includes executing the active deployment data collection process to include follow-on, pre-deployment, mid-tour, and post-deployment interviews while capturing new personnel insights and observations. In addition, the Team shall also assist in the establishment of JLLIS sites in Agency HQ and field activities as necessary. This support will include the implementation, set-up, training, maintenance, management and other assistance needed to fully integrate the JLLIS throughout Agency HQ and field activities.
The operational and retrograde knowledge management data and the data harvesting processes performed under this support will use the DOD system of record for knowledge management and lessons learned JLLIS on both the Non-classified Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPR). The client will provide listings of personnel/offices to be contacted and/or interviewed for retrograde knowledge management input and point of contacts at DLA HQ and field activities. During a typical performance year, The ProSidian Team will be required to assist in up to 12 week- long on-site training events (one of which would be OCONUS), two 3-4 day Joint Training Conferences, and up to 3 two-day site visits to Agency CONUS depots. Additionally, there will be an indeterminate number of 1-day meetings held at locations other than The ProSidian Team/government work site. Government transportation will be provided for such requirements.
This is a Key Personnel addition to the project. Lessons Learned Knowledge Management Specialist Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and primary role is to gather LL data. Perform LL information system operational tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of the LL Program. Recommend changes/updates for a more efficient LL Program to meet mission needs.
Professionals in this role should be adept and experienced in developing and leading implementation of the Implementer-Led Design, Evidence, Analysis and Learning (IDEAL) knowledge management strategy principally focused on military theater operations support, retrograde and the return supply mission areas. In addition, professionals will work closely with the Knowledge Management Communications and other key program staff to engage stakeholders in peer-to-peer collaborative learning.
The ProSidian Engagement Team shall support The Agency’s in-person knowledge sharing and gathering processes from conceptualization to implementation, coordinating the input from key stakeholders to drive content and managing the staffing and resources to ensure successful implementation. This position will also lead the updating and expansion of applicable KM Systems to effectively facilitate real-time collaborative learning, facilitate peer-to-peer knowledge transfer, reach a broader audience, and address design and user challenges.
As a leader within the Knowledge Management (KM) team, this individual will also contribute to the overall KM strategy of program and enable team members and implementing partners (IPs) to better capture, generate, apply and share high quality information on food security practices.
