ProSidian Seeks a Business Analyst (BA) Configuration Management Specialist (Lead) (SCA Code: N/A) in CONUS - Olympia, WA to support an engagement for a State Dept. of Transportation’s Enterprise Services Division. The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to provide an internet-based lifecycle grants management system (hereinafter referred to as System, Grants Management System, or GMS). The State DOT will use the System to administer Subrecipient grants, awarded to local jurisdictions and other organizations, by the Public Transportation Division. Our Team is responsible for installation, customization, configuration, data migration, maintenance, internet hosting, customer support for both The State DOT and Subrecipients, and ongoing technical support for the Grants Management System. The Project is funded, in part, by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds.
The ProSidian Engagement Team Members work to Required System capabilities can be organized into four broad categories. In order of importance, the key Grants Management Systems (GMS) project categories are 3.1.1 Management of Grants, 3.1.2 Contracts (non- grants), 3.1.3 Inventory, and 3.1.4 Asset Management.
This is a Key Personnel addition to the project. Business Analyst (BA) Configuration Management Specialist (Lead) Candidates shall work to support requirements for Program Support and Mission: Set up, configure, test, and train our customer’s systems quickly and accurately. In this role, the Business Analyst (BA) Configuration Management Specialist will perform a range of business analysis activities include planning, performing and implementing the Grant Management System (GMS) and the Transition Management Team’s initiatives, maintaining support of operational systems, and ensuring that systems perform as designed. You will serve as a liaison to program managers or functional owners for Grant Management System (GMS) implementations.
BUSINESS AND FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Analyze data relevant to processes, define data requirements, evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying business requirements.
- Define and document Client business and functional requirements.
- Develop functional and business requirements using individual and group interviews, surveys, process walks, process re-engineering workshops, requirements workshops, and peer site visits.
- Document functional and business requirements using best practices methods including high-level systems diagrams, requirement traceability matrices, user stories, functional specification documents, data maps, test cases, workflow diagrams, system interface, and user report requirements according to standardized methods while using natural language accessible to non-technical communities.
- Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers and stakeholders to analyze process needs and requirements and produce documentary artifacts such as functional and business requirement.
USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING (UAT)
- Conduct liaison with client Data systems and data managers to prevent duplication of effort upon the introduction of new system functionality.
- Create and develop Unit test case scenarios, perform functional Unit testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Determine process recommendation documents, including presentations, process maps, business requirements and related impact analyses for complex processes or for portions of larger or inter-related processes.
- Manage a queue of work and collaborate with others to meet deadlines
- Perform Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) and validations as directed by IT Development Teams and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Processes.
CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT
- Communicate with clients about specific issues/changes related to the system configuration
- Effectively Set up, configure, test, and train stakeholders on/with/for customer systems efficiently and with no errors
- Identify and maintain the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.
- Regulate the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents and related software.
- Review data post-system implementation to measure
- Support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.
- Support software quality assurance process audits.
- Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration.
- Use the Admin interface to configure a customer’s system set-up
- Use the Customer-facing interface to confirm set-up is correct and to help review systems
TRAINING & TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Describe provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits.
- Ensure that system configuration are executed in accordance with customer needs.
- Look for opportunities to make process improvements to increase the effectiveness of the configuration team
- Make recommendations on appropriate solutions based on research, benchmarking and best practices.
- Responsible for configuration audits | change control | configuration status accounting.
- Serve as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow.
- Share accountability for the realization of results with project managers, program owners, and process owners and assists in presentations of recommendations to stakeholders and process owners.
- Support system functional owners with the creation of help sheets and training materials.
