Provide Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on behalf of The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD)
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Perform as a subject matter expert (SME) on The Office of River Protection (ORP) Safety Basis Review Team and (SBRT) The Office of River Protection (ORP) is responsible for the retrieval, treatment, and disposal of this waste in a safe, efficient manner.
- Assist the SBRT Team Leader in the role of expert reviewer during DOE’s review and comment resolution of the Hazard Analysis (HA), Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA), Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development, and PDSA changes performed, and other supporting documents to meet Hanford safety basis needs.
- The SME will provide review capabilities in support of DSA revisions and DSA supporting documents. These DSA activities are to be reviewed to follow WTP procedures and similarly aligned other Government agency regulations or procedures. The SME review is particularly important to provide sufficient technical bases for eventual DOE approval of the WTP DSAs in DOE Safety Evaluation Reports (SERs).…
