JOB OVERVIEW
Provides The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site Technical Oversight Support Services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SCOPE OF WORK
- Provide oversight of Technical Oversight Specialist system design review program.
- Provide oversight of maintenance and work control processes.
- Provide support to WTP Engineering Division.
- Assist the Nuclear Services Division (NSD) during DOE’s review and comment resolution of the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA) and Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development and revisions performed by the Technical Oversight Specialist.
- Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems.
- Assist HLW Federal Project Director in the assessment of alternative tank waste treatment approaches (including DFHLW configuration).
- Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD).
- Coordinate to issue assessment and resolution with ORP engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
- Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.
- Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Technical Oversight Specialist shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Technical Oversight Specialist employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
