JOB OVERVIEW
Provides Project Controls Engineering for The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SCOPE OF WORK
- Perform support functions to Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP) and WTP Federal Project Directors by providing quality related oversight functions, perform as an oversight team member lead, develop self-assessment plans, participate in performance of self-assessments, and document results.
- Perform oversight of contractor efforts to address findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in contractor’s Assurance Program, extent of condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
- Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the Assistant Manager WTP (AMWTP), Deputy AMWTP, and to Division Directors.
- Review and comment on new and revised Office of River Protection (ORP) Performance Assurances procedures and WTP oversight reports.
- Support the WTP Assistant Manager and Deputy Manager.
- Provide auditing and training support.
SCOPE DELIVERABLES
- Field oversight of assigned scope to ensure contractors properly implement contractual requirements, providing a safe work environment, and demonstrating conformance with overall DOE safety performance standards and principles.
- Operational Awareness and Surveillance reports for assigned scope documented in the DOE iCAS database detailing oversight activities including document reviews, field observations, and personnel interviews.
Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. Project Controls Engineer shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. Project Controls Engineer employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress
