JOB OVERVIEW
Provides performance oversight engineering support on-behalf-of (OBO) The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site as a Project Oversight Engineer located in Richland, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SCOPE OF WORK
- Facilitate the transition of the Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) Mission to an operations effort, coordinate and lead a team of senior engineers to develop a Process Control Strategy (PCS) for the integrated DFHLW configured facilities.
- Assist with oversight of Performance Oversight Specialist performance.
- Assist with oversight of Performance Oversight Specialistās system design review program (performance and planning activities), and nuclear safety program for the WTP High Level Waste (HLW) Facility.
- Provide support in the assessments of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) progress for the WTP HLW systems in the baseline and DFLAW configurations.
- Assist with oversight of Performance Oversight Specialistsā efforts to address findings, including monitoring and reporting on any improvements in Performance Oversight Specialistās Assurance Program, extent of condition reviews, and issue resolution efforts.
- Provide WTP Performance Assurance support to the Assistant Manager WTP (AMWTP), Deputy AMWTP, and Division Directors, for management assessments, action tracking and record management.
- Provide auditing and training support.
- Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Performance Oversight Specialist shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Performance Oversight Specialist employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
