Provides Nuclear Criticality Consulting Services for The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
SCOPE OF WORK
- Provides Nuclear Criticality Safety Consulting for The Department of Energy (DOE), Hanford Site, Assistant Manager for Safety and Quality (AMSQ), Nuclear Safety Division (NSD).
- The Nuclear Criticality Safety Consultant will be responsible for execution of the itemized work scope below:
- Perform criticality safety consulting services related to One Hanford program needs, focusing on special activities, identified problem areas, and support any criticality safety related needs by direct observation and involvement in relevant activities as determined by the Technical Monitor.
- Provide reviews of contractor reports and submittals to One Hanford procedures and DOE-STD-3009 and DOE-STD-3007.
- Provide periodic oversight of criticality related operations conducted by One Hanford Projects to One Hanford procedures and DOE-STD- 3009 and DOE-STD-3007, as appropriate.
- Assist in the preparation of Safety Evaluation Reports, or other approval documentation, associated with the above related activities.
- Assist in performance of readiness and startup assessment activities.
- Assist review of DSA safety management programs and evaluation of support documents.
- Deliverables shall be accomplished in accordance with One Hanford procedures and directions provided by the technical monitor.
- All work performed under this task order must be in compliance with the requirements set by the Quality Assurance Implementation Plan (DOE-PPD-QA-50552) and associated implementing procedures.
