Seeking Program Chemist candidates with relevant Environmental Management Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Environmental Management Sector Clients such as USACE. Provide services and support as a Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) (Program Chemist) in the Environmental Management Industry Sector focusing on Environmental Services Solutions for clients such as Department of Defense (DoD - USACE) | U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Northwestern Division, Omaha District (USACE NWO) Area of Responsibility (AOR) Generally Located In CONUS - Ten (10) States: Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wyoming and across the Mid West Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Program Chemist | Environmental Management [USACE011016]
Serve as a member of The Engagement Team as "Key Management Personnel" and work to develop and oversee chemical testing protocols; ensure quality control in lab procedures; interpret chemical data. Serve as Key Management Personnel and designate one (1) individual who will perform the function of Program Chemist. This individual shall ensure that all chemistry-related goals of the program are attained. The Program Chemist should have general knowledge of remedial process chemistry, fate, and transport of organics and inorganics, knowledge of chemical quality control, and experience with validation software, and staged electronic data deliverables. The Program Chemist shall be experienced in the sampling and analysis of toxic/hazardous chemicals in environmental matrices. Demonstrated experience with emerging contaminants will be beneficial.
Team ProSidian shall utilize a Chemist as appropriate to the statement of work for each task order, who shall ensure that all chemistry-related goals of the task order are attained. The Chemist shall be available for consultation with Team ProSidian’s and Government personnel. The Chemist should have general knowledge of remedial process chemistry, fate, and transport of organics and inorganics, knowledge of chemical QC, experience with ADR.NET validation software, and staged electronic data deliverables. ADR.NET is a specific software application used for managing analytical data review and validation processes within chemical laboratories, particularly in environmental and pharmaceutical sectors. This software helps ensure that chemical analyses comply with regulatory standards and that data is accurate, consistent, and complete.
Chemical Quality Control (Chemical QC) refers to the processes and procedures used to ensure that chemical substances and products meet specific quality standards and regulatory requirements. It is a critical aspect of quality assurance in industries that produce or utilize chemicals, such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, environmental services, and manufacturing. Chemical QC is essential for ensuring chemical products' safety, efficacy, and quality. It helps prevent contamination, ensures compliance with regulatory standards, and maintains the integrity of chemical substances used in various applications. In industries like pharmaceuticals, where the quality of chemicals directly impacts human health, rigorous QC processes are critical to ensuring that products are safe and effective for consumer use. Chemical Quality Control (QC) involves representative sampling, rigorous testing and analysis of chemical composition, physical properties, purity, and stability, regular instrument calibration, comprehensive documentation and record-keeping, strict adherence to regulatory standards, and proactive corrective actions to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with industry regulations.
The Chemist shall be experienced in the sampling and analysis of toxic/hazardous chemicals and radiological contamination in environmental matrices. The Chemist is required to have advanced expertise (senior level) in chemical data quality management of environmental analytical data and demonstrate an understanding of the UFP QAPP. The Chemist should have knowledge and understanding of the Department of Defense Quality Systems Manual (DoD QSM). The DoD QSM provides the guidelines and requirements for laboratories performing environmental testing in support of the DoD ) Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP). DoD QSM and its application during validation to ensure defensible data are delivered meeting project specific requirements. The Chemist shall have a minimum 4-year college degree in chemistry or related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience working Environmental Remediation Services (ERS) Services Related projects.
