Purpose of the Job :
The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for aligning business strategy with technology capabilities, ensuring the organization鈥檚 portfolio of applications, data, infrastructure, and security controls delivers measurable business value. The EA defines the target architecture, governs standards, and orchestrates transformation roadmaps that enable scalable growth, cost efficiency, and resilience.
Key responsibilities :
Strategy & Architecture
- Translate business strategy into an actionable enterprise architecture vision, principles, and target state (business, application, data, technology, and security domains).
- Develop and maintain architecture blueprints and roadmaps that guide modernization, cloud adoption, and platform consolidation.
- Establish and oversee architecture governance (standards, patterns, reference architectures, reviews, waivers).
Portfolio & Planning
- Lead current鈥憇tate assessments (capability maps, process maps, application inventories, technology stacks, technical debt).
- Create multi鈥憏ear transformation plans with investment cases, value metrics, milestones, and dependencies.
- Partner with Finance to prioritize initiatives using TCO, ROI, and risk models; support annual planning and budget cycles.
- Communicate complex topics clearly through visuals, narratives, and measurable KPIs.
Solution Oversight
- Guide solution architects and engineering teams to ensure designs conform to enterprise standards and non鈥慺unctional requirements (scalability, performance, reliability).
- Run Architecture Review Boards; assess designs for fit鈥慺or鈥憄urpose and strategic alignment.
- Define integration strategies (APIs, event-driven, messaging), data architecture (master data, lineage, quality).
Risk, Compliance & Resilience
- Ensure architectures meet security baselines, privacy regulations (GDPR, etc.), industry standards (ISO, NIST, CIS), and BC/DR requirements.
- Perform risk assessments, maintain architecture decisions records (ADRs), and manage technology lifecycle (roadmaps, EOL/EOS).
