This role is a leadership role in the Financial Control team responsible for the accounting, reporting and compliance of the Qantas Group's fixed assets portfolio. As Financial Controller â Fixed Assets, you will oversee end-to-end asset accounting including capitalisation, depreciation, impairment and disposals, ensuring accuracy and integrity across the fixed assets ledger.
You will lead, support and advise key senior Finance and operational stakeholders across the business on fixed assets accounting policy, financial compliance and the continuous improvement of fixed assets processes and controls. Working closely with the Head of Financial Control, you will act as the primary point of contact for business units, project teams and external auditors on all fixed assets matters, driving collaboration and consistency across finance teams.
The role requires sound judgement, deep technical expertise in relevant accounting standards, and the ability to lead a skilled and high performing team.
