Joining us as a Linux Operations Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work from Athens,Greece on international projects for Netcompany, contributing to the most complex IT solutions of Denmark.
You will oversee sub-projects, conduct daily stand-ups, and report status to customers or project managers. Leadership within your team will be essential, as you will delegate tasks and assist team members. A project manager will support you, enhancing your management and IT delivery skills.
You'll join a high-performing international team, valuing professionalism and collaboration. Our projects include significant IT initiatives for Denmark's state, municipalities, and business community.
As a Linux Operations Engineer you will:
- Manage one or more business-critical systems, ensure continuous and correct monitoring and ensure backups. This also includes scripting and tuning the platform.
- Collaborate with other team members on security, problem solving, and process optimization as well as participate in safety testing and incident, problem and change management.
- Contribute to operation projects such as large-scale technology transitions, including planning, and implementing specific operational tasks.
- Use a wide variety of cloud tooling to manage and monitor infrastructure.
- Maintain Linux-based environments for various projects.
- Work with Kubernetes platforms, Managed containers, and other new technologies
- Report tasks, activities, and SLA goals
- Build new environments in a DevOps team.
- Respond to customer requests, change management, incidents etc. based on ITIL practices.
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and GITOPS with Argo CD
- Participate in project work, as a part of the development cycle, providing high level of availability of applications and systems based on project and SLA requirements.

- Coach and guide more junior members within the team.
