NBC Universal has an opening for an Audio Engineer supporting NBC News Now. The Audio Engineer will prepare show audio requirements and operate equipment to integrate audio sources and create a full program mix for air.
Responsibilities:
⢠Collaborate with the Director, technical and production staff to plan audio requirements for multi-camera television productions
⢠Offer technical and creative audio solutions to create a high quality mix for air
⢠Prepare audio operations technical infrastructure details for assigned shows
⢠Test and prepare television audio operations systems and equipment for use
⢠Rehearse and lead the audio plan for assigned shows and events
⢠Program production communications intercom system for studio and remote locations
⢠Prepare music and sound effects for air
⢠Handle mic and IFB patching and routing for studio shows
⢠Coordinate and prepare talent mics and mix-minus for studio and remote locations with the control room Tech Manager and Audio Assistant(s)/A2(s)
⢠Mix multiple audio sources: studio and remote microphones, music and sound effects
⢠Work closely with management and Engineering to ensure all audio and comms equipment is meeting clients expectations
⢠Provide audio coverage as lead (A1) or assist (A2) Audio as assigned
⢠Responsible for compliance with all applicable company policies
