MDG Technical Senior Consultant - The domain ‘Supplier Management’ owns various solutions in Supplier Management, including supplier master data, the supplier web portal, contract & condition management and supplier evaluation and selection. We are end-to-end responsible for these solutions that are used by METRO countries.
Your role will be in supplier master data where you can support the digital transformation from a legacy in-house solution (MMS) to a modern SAP S4/HANA based supplier master data solution based on SAP MDG (Master Data Governance). This solution is currently being deployed within the METRO countries and will be part of the foundation of the future METRO IT landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the in-house MDG-S technical expert, ensuring the stability and performance of MDGS solutions.
- Collaborate with business teams, service manager and service provider to define technical requirements and enhancements to ensure the proper integration of business processes.
- Coordinate and technically validate the deliverables from the service provider.
- Support system integration with SAP ECC, S/4HANA and non-SAP systems via SOA, IDOC, and API.
- Participate in system design, configuration reviews, and change control processes.
- Troubleshoot system issues and lead root cause analysis with the service provider.
- Ability to continuously evaluate and optimize MDG processes to improve efficiency and performance.
- Support system upgrades in collaboration with Basis, GRC (user and rights management) and infrastructure teams.
- Ensure proper transport management, versioning, and documentation.
- Support testing activities: functional testing, SIT, UAT, defect management.
- Support data migration activities related to supplier master data.
- Prepare and review project documents such as design documents, configuration documents, technical/functional specification documents and present them to the stakeholders. Ensure updated documentation for primary support areas.
- Demand /Requirement Management - Ensure daily monitoring of assigned Incidents and Change Requests to avoid any slippage or SLA breaches.
