We are looking for an Assistant Category Manager for the Meat Category to join the Offer Management Department and report directly to the Meat Category Manager. This professional will be responsible for providing administrative support and assisting the Category Manager, ensuring the development of the commercial process through establishing contacts with suppliers, maintaining the IT system, managing procurement and monitoring service levels, conducting performance analyses, and supporting the preparation of promotional actions.
Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze performance indicators, namely sales, prices, margins, and discounts, in order to provide tools that support negotiation and the day-to-day management of purchasing and sales activities;
Update systems to ensure the reliability and accuracy of information supporting business operations and management (codes, prices, discounts, promotions, and selling prices);
Place product orders with international or local suppliers, as well as support Stores in resolving any issues related to orders by liaising with suppliers to request clarifications, returns, or technical assistance, ensuring product availability and minimizing stock-out situations;
Support the Category Manager in the preparation of the +Makro campaign by requesting special conditions from suppliers for the selected items, checking product availability in store or in stock, monitoring delivery deadlines, and reviewing the mock-ups sent by Marketing, contributing to the timely completion of the promotional leaflet production stages;
Analyze any discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and delivery notes identified by the Invoice Control teams, requesting clarifications from suppliers and issuing credit or debit requests to ensure proper reconciliation;
Ensure the optimization of contact and communication between the Category Manager, the Stores, and suppliers, effectively routing information, orders and their follow-up, as well as market-related data.
