We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis I - Pastry to join our culinary team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Commis I - Pastry, you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, assisting in the preparation of delectable pastries and desserts while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
- Stock the pastry kitchen with necessary ingredients and materials daily
- Operate and maintain pastry-related equipment safely and efficiently
- Master basic pastry-making techniques and methods
- Prepare pastry items according to standard recipes, ensuring portion control and minimizing waste
- Assist in creating daily mise en place for the pastry station
- Follow and apply food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP) in all pastry preparation activities
- Clean and maintain all equipment within the pastry production area
- Collaborate with the pastry team to ensure timely and high-quality production of desserts and pastries
- Report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment issues to the immediate supervisor promptly
- Contribute to the development of new pastry recipes and presentations
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation for the pastry section
