Job Purpose :
- The Senior Commercial Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and commercial strategy across the business. The role leads contract management, pricing, negotiations, and commercial risk while partnering closely with sales, finance, operations, and legal teams to support sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Performance
- Develop and execute commercial strategies aligned with business objectives
- Drive revenue growth, margin improvement, and long-term profitability
- Lead pricing strategies, cost control initiatives, and value optimization
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer behavior to inform decisions
Contract & Negotiation Management
- Lead high-value commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers, and partners
- Oversee contract development, review, and governance to manage risk and compliance
- Ensure contracts are commercially sound and aligned with legal and financial standards
- Manage variations, claims, disputes, and commercial issues
Financial & Commercial Governance
- Own commercial forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance tracking
- Work closely with finance on revenue recognition, cost management, and reporting
- Identify and mitigate commercial and financial risks
- Support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
- Act as a senior commercial advisor to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead, mentor, and develop commercial team members
- Drive best practices in commercial processes and controls
Operational Support
- Support sales and operations with deal structuring and commercial approvals
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery/operations
- Resolve escalated commercial or customer issues
