Job Summary:
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in cast production of iron pipe.
Pay rate between $75,000 to $85,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Examine materials at various stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Observe and monitor machinery and production processes to maintain consistent and efficient operations.
Interpret production specifications, quality requirements, and company policies, and adjust work procedures as needed.
Identify, analyze, and resolve production, quality, and workflow issues; recommend improvements to work methods and conditions.
Maintain accurate time, production, tonnage, scrap, and raw material records for casting and core floor operations.
Ensure all employees complete required documentation, including startup checklists, weight comparisons, and production paperwork.
Monitor and ensure production levels meet operational requirements.
Work closely with maintenance supervisors to support equipment reliability and consistent production output.
Directly supervise 30โ35 hourly employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
Provide training oversight and ensure completion of Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Pure Safety requirements, and daily, weekly, and monthly safety talks.
Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures and other safety regulations.
Enforce Title V requirements for the Core Floor and ensure environmental compliance.
Administer discipline to hourly staff as necessary and in accordance with company policy.
Communicate regularly with quality inspectors regarding pipe quality and respond promptly to inspection feedback.
Inspect pipe quality at the casting machine to ensure conformance to specifications.
Identify and segregate non-conforming product to prevent entry into the annealing process.

Pipe identification
Process markings
Non-conforming pipe markings
Non-conforming pipe conditions
