Job Summary
The Millwright / Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role supports overall production uptime, preventive maintenance programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
Maintenance & Equipment Repair
- Perform mechanical repairs, maintenance, and installation on machinery, tools, and industrial equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
- Conduct inspections and diagnose root causes of equipment failures.
- Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication when required.
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe, serviceable condition.
- Support major equipment overhauls and rebuilds.
Preventive Maintenance
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance activities according to schedules.
- Document all maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used.
- Recommend improvements to reduce future breakdowns and increase equipment reliability.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all EHS policies, lock鈥憃ut/tag鈥憃ut procedures, and safe work practices.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment concerns promptly.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
Operational Support
- Assist production teams with equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to minimize downtime and resolve technical issues.
