This team member is responsible for the set-up and operation of welding equipment. The team member must also monitor the process and quality of the product and make necessary corrections to the process in order to maintain a steady flow of quality product to the customer
- Works at different work stations throughout the plant as production needs require.
- Manage the operating of all types of machines and work to ensure that they are well maintained.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, tape measures, schedules, or product specifications.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines according to the specifications.
- Welds fabricated, cast and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
- Place and remove fittings from the cylinders by following appropriate protocol.
- Inspects cylinders for visual defects.
- Tests cylinders for structural defects.
- Work to adjust and operate speed and control the load of the machines.
- Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to the specifications.
- Rejects defective parts, and marks defects accordingly.

- Manual handling with placing cylinders in workstation.
- May use numerous types of hand tools.
- Operation of lifting devices as needed.
- Looks for opportunity to get involved in safety, environmental, process changes and overall improvement efforts.
- Follows all EHS guidelines and applicable procedures.
- Read, understand and follow the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and EHS Work Instructions.
- Report any unsafe conditions or incidents in a timely manner to their supervisor or any member of management.
- Shut down process if unsafe.
- Follow proper machine shutdown procedures.
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
