The Opportunity:
The People & Culture Business Partner (P&CBP) serves as the P&C leader for the Montréal site. This role partners closely with business and functional leaders to drive talent development, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and change management, while ensuring full compliance with Québec and Canadian labor requirements.
As site lead, this role has end-to-end accountability for all People & Culture activities in Montréal and plays a critical role in shaping a strong, inclusive, and high-performance culture aligned with business priorities and local needs.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Strategic Business Partnership
Act as a trusted advisor to site and category leaders on people strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design.
Translate business strategy into people initiatives that support growth, capability building, and operational excellence.
Lead and support change management initiatives related to organizational transformation, growth, or restructuring.
Talent Development & Organizational Effectiveness
Lead talent management processes including development planning, succession planning, and performance management.
Partner with leaders to assess organizational capability and design structures, roles, and workflows that enable effectiveness and agility.
Support leadership development and coach leaders to build inclusive, high-performing teams.
Employee Relations & Culture
Lead employee relations for the Montréal site, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant practices.
Provide guidance on workplace investigations, performance issues, accommodations, and conflict resolution.
Champion employee experience, engagement, and well-being, aligned with both enterprise and Québec-specific expectations.
Compliance, Governance & HR Operations (Québec Focus)
Ensure compliance with Québec labor laws and regulations, including employment standards, occupational health and safety, pay equity, harassment prevention, and termination of employment.
Lead compliance with the Act to Promote Workforce Skills Development and Recognition (Bill 90).
Ensure alignment with OQLF requirements and the Charter of the French Language, including communications, policies, signage, and francization obligations.
Manage relationships with Québec government agencies (e.g., CNESST, OQLF).
Oversee Québec-specific HR administration, including onboarding aligned with the local labor market.
Ensure accurate and compliant administration of group insurance and employee benefits.
Provide guidance on Canadian and Québec work permits and immigration requirements.
Adapt, draft, and maintain local HR policies to meet legal and business needs.
Site Leadership
Serve as the P&C site lead in Montréal, representing P&C in site leadership forums.
Partner closely with global P&C teams to align enterprise strategies with local execution.
Lead or coordinate site-based P&C initiatives and vendor relationships as required.
