We are currently looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our Infrastructure Engineering team which consists of over 2,000 engineers who are responsible for building infrastructure that powers linkedin.com. The Infra Org operates massive-scale systems ranging from physical DCs, networking, storage, compute, observability to Data and AI/ML platforms. We also contribute to the technical community by open sourcing our latest technologies.
The ideal candidate will have an excellent balance of people, organizational, and technical skills, and can execute and deliver successfully in situations where authority is not a given. Interaction and leadership across functional lines is essential.The candidate will be able to concisely articulate and abstract the project status, risks and success to various levels of engineering org.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
Define product vision, mission, and success metrics, translating them into actionable roadmaps.
Demonstrate data analysis expertise to develop and communicate meaningful insights, and make recommendations on key infrastructure scaling initiatives.
Lead and deliver complex, cross-functional programs and processes with predictability, alignment, and a focus on scalable solutions.
Act as a role model for collaboration, leveraging relationships and influence decision-making across strategy and execution.
Develop and manage plans, ensuring alignment across teams, while effectively evaluating and pivoting unsuccessful programs when necessary.
Continuously refine and improve cross-team processes to drive efficiency and scalability in the Infrastructure Engineering organization.
Quickly acquire and maintain domain knowledge to actively participate in technical discussions and ensure program plans align with engineering goals.
Model behavior for reducing, resolving, and preventing conflicts constructively, utilizing clean escalation techniques when required.
Utilize metrics to track velocity, measure success, and iteratively improve execution frameworks to achieve team goals.
Deliver high-quality communication, including crafting messaging for sensitive situations, and engage with senior leadership as appropriate.
Build and deliver impactful presentations that tell a persuasive story with convictive insights, not just data.
