The Analytical Instrumentation Specialist will support the department by coordinating research activities related to the development of new analytical methods. This role is responsible for conducting method validations, performing method transfers, and ensuring all activities align with departmental goals.
What you鈥檒l do
- Method development, validation, transfer, assay, and impurity analysis utilizing a range of analytical techniques including HPLC, LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace, GC-MS/MS with a particular focus on low鈥憀evel quantification of PFAs, PCBs, nitrosamine impurities, and related analytes
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain analytical instrumentation, including HPLC, LC-MS/MS and/or GC-Headspace, GC-MS/MS
- Experience with Triple Quadrupoles, TOF, QTOF, and/or HRAM (High Resolution Accurate Mass)
- This role requires adherence to established procedures and policies and applicable regulatory guidelines, ISO9001 and ISO17025, project timelines, collaborating cross-functionally with Production and QA teams to ensure timely project execution
- Review technical data, documents, and proposals as required. Assist SOP training for new personnel and on SOP revisions
- Troubleshoot technical issues/ difficulties regarding experimental methods and results; Carry out and support OOS/OOT investigations
- Provide ongoing technical training and develop staff to enable them to perform technical tasks
