We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT Field Technician. The duties of an IT Field Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.
IT Field Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems and implement solutions to them.
Duties to include:
- Installing, configuring and maintaining standard computer hardware and software
- Assist customers with troubleshooting of computer related issues such as virus removal/password resets/email setup/software installations/setting up accounts for new users
- Assist customers with first level troubleshooting of network equipment
- Maintain accurate records of completed and pending jobs using the Eurofins ticketing system (OTRS)
- Follow Eurofins policies and procedures to including incident/problem escalation
- Provide friendly and helpful customer service as first point of contact
- Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
- Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
