The Laboratory IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) configuration and supporting day-to-day laboratory IT needs. This role includes, but is not limited to, creating analytical packages, custom test lists, and updating regulatory guidelines within LIMS. The position also provides technical assistance to employees, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, and supports special IT projects to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Maintain and update LIMS configurations, including: Create and maintain analytical packages and custom test lists in LIMS, update, and manage regulatory guidelines.
- Assist users in troubleshooting IT issues such as printer connectivity, remote connections, and network problems.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary.
- Collaborate with IT and laboratory teams to ensure seamless integration of LIMS with other systems and workflows.
- Participate in system validation, upgrades, and documentation processes.
- Install and configure new workstations for laboratory and office environments.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
- Provide support for special IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
