The Bioprocessing Support Technician plays a key role in preparing critical buffers, media, and process solutions to support R&D science lines and pilotāscale manufacturing activities. In this handsāon role, you will operate and support a variety of nonāGMP bioprocessing unit operations and ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with established procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare smallāscale (<200L) and largeāscale (200ā500L) buffers and tissue culture media according to established SOPs.
- Set up, execute, and evaluate nonāGMP bioprocess operations including:
- Bioreactors
- Centrifugation
- Filtration
- Chromatography
- Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF)
- Final fill
- Perform CleanāināPlace (CIP) and SterilizeāināPlace (SIP) operations.
- Conduct aseptic sampling and manage parts washing, inventory, labeling, and materials handling.
- Generate work orders, complete documentation, and enter/evaluate data with accuracy.
- Perform algebraic calculations including molarity, molality, percentages, and solution formulations.
- Determine required volumes and component quantities for solution preparation.
