Main responsibilities will include:
- Drive the growth of the existing Belgian clients’ portfolio (and responsible for business development, develop business plans and strategies to attract new customers / new markets )
- Responsible for the development of long-term partnerships with the key accounts and the further expansion of the customer portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a commercial plan that generates a relevant pipeline to secure significant organic growth
- The responsibility for directing and monitoring the 8 sales team members to realize the proposed targets. Outlining the broad context for the team, determining the priorities and acting as a sounding board.
- Take up an active commercial role to Key Accounts and in the work out of (developing) strategic deals. Must be able to walk the talk.
- Developing together with the team a professional sales plan for each client; defines pricing, sets sales volumes and mix, customer profitability targets per product and service.
- Closely monitoring market developments and responding efficiently to new opportunities.
- Implementing the defined commercial strategy and continuing to build an efficient and customer-friendly commercial operation with an eye for quality and delivery reliability.
- Overseeing the sales activities and ensuring that the set objectives are achieved, in line with the strategic business plan.
- Guaranteeing smooth cooperation between the various departments: sales support, production (laboratories), logistics, and striving for more quality and consistency in operation.
- Implementing a continuous improvement culture and propagating it.
