- Provides administrative and office support
- Provides case management to prepare for employment that leads to self-sufficiency
- Conducts assessments
- Facilitates client access to training, education, barrier-removal services, and to employment services, as well as job-specific information
- Interviews clients to gather information on training needs, educational background, work experience, skills, interests, and eligibility
- Provides career guidance to participants
- Provides job search assistance
- Reviews job seeker skills and resume prior to referring job seeker to employment opportunities or Work Experience placement
- Ensures that the participant is job ready (including interviewing, resume)
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with area employers and program participants
- Identifies employment opportunities for enrolled participants skills, criminal backgrounds, and/or other barriers and schedule interviews
- Facilitates clear understanding of employers hiring processes, including application, screening, interviewing, and selection
- Provides all candidates with timely communications at regular intervals through all stages of the recruiting process, ensuring a favorable candidate experience regardless of selection decisions
- Facilitates seamless experience between candidates and aligned employers
- Ensures seamless handoffs between workforce and hiring manager for sourcing/screening, interview/selection, and hiring decision communication stages of the process
- Provides referrals and coordination with other workforce activities
- Provides support services information and referrals to various agencies for clothing assistance, when needed
- Oversees Career readiness activities, including assistance or instruction in creating or updating resumes or application, or preparing for interviews
- Maintains relationship with outreach participants and employers
- Enters case related data on a regular basis - Compiles and analyzes information from a variety of sources to assist in the preparation of reports
- Compares performance data to contract and/or state goals on a weekly basis
- Provides leadership in developing and implementing solutions for various challenges
- Responsible for ensuring timely submissions of required reports from all departments and timely submission of reports to Funding Source, Equus or immediate supervisor as required
- Travels frequently
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; an equivalent combination of acceptable related experience and training may be substituted
- Minimum of three to four years' experience in human services, social services, education, or related field preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Good knowledge of all functions of industry clusters and possess strong interviewing techniques
- Familiarity with communities being served with knowledge and understanding of local needs and resources
This is a travel position; driver's license in good standing and active automobile insurance required
