Day to day Design management and implementation of the early stage design, and later technical design of Interior Design projects, providing effective and efficient execution of projects and supporting the leadership of the Head of Department and PMs in promoting the image and values of the company within that group.
DM is expected to have been working as a Interior Design Manager seeking progression given demonstrated skillsets or has experience as DM when hired externally for 1 year minimum along experience of working on large and complex projects.
Design Management and Team Leadership:
Manage assigned projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
Develop/ attain Commercial expertise related to contractual scope extent, and possible change management initiator role
Develop & maintain the project resource planning in close coordination with HoD and PMs.
Contribute in sub-consultants scope review, planning, and technical assessment.
Lead and mentor a team of architects/designers delivering for Interior Design team, and technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Oversee quality controls and design checks throughout the project.
Integrate early MEP, coordination and specialties requirements / assumptions prior to the engagement of stakeholders.
Lead the delivery of large projects while providing specialist technical expertise during design and construction phases
Ensure required quality checking/approval procedures are carried out
Communicate clearly with project stakeholders (clients, consultants, contractors) to manage expectations and drive success.
Participate in the preparation of proposals in terms of Scope identification, Design Methodology, Design management plan, deliverables and design budget.
Participate or initiate the projectsā MOM, Design Change logs, Coordination logs, Risk register and other related documentation as specified in the list of deliverables.
Delivering on Company processes in team resourcing and relevant finances to ensure project deliverability.
Design & Technical Expertise:
Oversee / Review project/sā concept design preparation including but not limited to:
Design Delivery plan
Design Management Plan
Presentation/s
Drawings and reports
Collaborate with HoD and PMs on complex design challenges and ensure technical feasibility.
Develop and maintain high-quality design documents and construction drawings.
Develop the project list of deliverables in line with the project contract brief.
Stay current with industry trends, building codes, authoritiesā regulations, and best practices in architectural design.
Lead and oversee the design production and coordination process, and minuting formally its tracks ; within its own discipline (likely architecture), but also with other disciplines ( in house or external design partners : structure, MEP, Architecture, Landscape, vertical transportation, & other specialists consultant)
Technical review & assessment of sub-consultantsā delivery.
Collaborate with Project Management team on project/s miscellaneous interiors trackers & reports.
Oversee and review the development of the project BIM Models.
Review digitally the project modelsā progress and production quality.
Utilize BIM workflows for all coordination and QMS procedures.
Utilize BIM software effectively and contribute to BIM workflows within projects.
Accountable for the successful delivery of the project assigned to, while maintaining the allocated time frame and budget.
Collaborate with Spec writer for the development of the project/s interior design specifications.
Collaborate with QS for the development of the project BOQs related to interior design.
Contribute to projectsā VE sessions.
Contribute to projectsā tendering process related to interior design.
Contribute to projectsā site support related to interior design remotely (From Office).
Communication and Collaboration:
Fluency in spoken and written communication
Active leadership/ participation of client meetings, presentations, and workshops.
Clear communication of design concepts, project progress, and potential challenges to clients.
Building strong relationships with clients, their consultants and stakeholders.
Active in BD and Marketing to promote Omrania/Egis Client development.

Department Operations:
Report weekly to the HoD / Management on project schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and resource allocation.
Work in close coordination with the Project assigned Manager (PM).
Lead and coordinate with team members within their assigned projects.
Collaborate effectively with other disciplines and external consultants.
Participate in Quality Assurance review sessions.
Participate in developing the Interior design and Technical skills of the team members through mentoring programs in coordination with HoD.
Assume full ownership approach to assigned design projects.
