A 4D specialist, such as someone using Fuzor-VDC, is responsible for integrating 3D models with time (schedule) data to create a 4D simulation. This helps in visualizing the construction sequence, identifying potential issues, and improving project planning and management. Below are the key responsibilities and competencies of a 4D specialist.
- Create 4D animated/simulated sequences and Augmented/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) experiences to showcase design intent, support client engagement, aid in decision making processes and improve health, safety, and quality of our projects.
- Produce 4D sequences based on linking the BIM model to the proposed project program, covering both who project sequences or more specific complex/high risk elements of the project program.
- Work closely with the Designers and BIM teams and Planners to ensure 3D models and P6 plans are adequately developed to facilitate optimal 4D modelling.
- Develop documentation required to support the implementation and progression of 4D BIM.
