We are seeking skilled and experienced Roads Management Centre (RMC) Supervisors to join our team in Doha, Qatar. In this critical role, you will be responsible for supervising the Roads and Tunnels Operations activities, ensuring the safe, efficient and effective management of traffic across the Qatar road network. Note: this role is shift based to support 24/7/365 operations of the RMC and Tunnels Control Rooms.
The RMC Supervisor is reporting to the RMC Operational Lead.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the RMC and Tunnels operations to achieve the performance SLAs for network, corridor, junction and incident management
- Identify performance improvement opportunities for congestion, incident and major event traffic management
- Line management responsibility for the RMC/Tunnels Team Leaders
- Coordinating operations with key stakeholders such as Drainage Management Centre, Ministry of Interior, Baladiya and Hamad Medical Corporation to safely manage incidents and events
- Regularly updating the RMC Operations Lead with information required for Egis-QBC Senior Management and Ashghal Senior Management during escalated events and incidents that RMC and Tunnels Control Rooms are managing or supporting
- Monitoring and managing Team Leaders and Operator compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Emergency Response Plans, Weather Response Plans and stakeholder coordination protocols
- Coordinating SCATS interventions with the SCATS engineering team to manage short term congestion and corridor performance recovery following incidents and manual interventions
- Ensuring incident detection monitoring and response are achieving performance SLAs
- Delivering the RMC daily reports, major incident reports and monthly performance reports
- Coaching and training Team Leaders and Operators where necessary and supporting individual performance improvement
- Managing the coordination of emergency works with zonal and strategic highways framework contractors
- Ensuring traffic management response plans and DMS messaging plans are set and removed in accordance with scheduled traffic diversion plans (TDP) and supporting major events
- Carry out the regular review and update of standard operating procedures and response plans
- Consolidation of the User Needs and Participation to the UAT (User Acceptance Tests) within implementation of new applications in the RMC and Tunnel Control Centers.
- Staying updated on industry best practices and innovative technologies in roads operations
- Ensuring compliance with Quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations in the RMC and Tunnel Control Rooms.
