About The Role:
The Structural Engineer (Building Engineering) is responsible for the analysis, design, and review of structural systems for a wide range of building projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional structures. This role involves collaborating with architects, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet project specifications, codes, and safety standards. The engineer oversees the preparation of drawings, specifications, and reports, and may provide construction support and site inspections to ensure structural integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Strong technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and effective communication are key to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
⢠Preparing engineering service proposals for senior review;
⢠Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors;
⢠Designing and stamping medium to complex designs;
⢠Leading the engineering design and managing the project team, schedule and budget on a variety of projects;
⢠Providing technical direction and peer review for junior team members;
⢠Preparing specifications and drawings for building permit and tender;
⢠Maintaining a technical advisory role for clients throughout the project term;
⢠Overseeing and providing construction review services;
⢠Preparing technical specifications and reports;
⢠Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
