NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service.
The Office of Employee Services (OES) is responsible for the agency鈥檚 human capital administration and workforce management, which includes recruitment, personnel, civil service administration, labor relations, timekeeping, payroll, leaves of absence, benefits and performance management administration, and programs for employee learning, engagement, recognition, professional development, and agency-wide events.
OES also administers employee-related agencywide programs such as Conflicts of Interest Board (COIB) programs, such as Financial Disclosure, Secondary Employment & Moonlighting Waivers, Residency Requirement Administration, Remote Work Program Administration, Federal Tax Information (FTI) background investigation requirements, and COVID-related and Line of Duty Injury (LODI) policies and procedures. OES provides guidance and support to the agency鈥檚 business units on a wide variety of employee and employment-related matters, to ensure compliance with citywide and agencywide guidance and policies.
OES liaises and partners with the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), Office of Labor Relations, Office of Payroll Administration, Conflicts of Interest Board, Department of Investigation, and other oversight agencies and to facilitate the agency鈥檚 workforce management business needs.
OES鈥檚 Learning & Employee Engagement (LEE) is seeking a Learning & Engagement Administrator to provide administrative, operational, and program support to the Learning & Employee Engagement Unit. The role supports mailbox management, training coordination, SharePoint activities, reporting, and special projects.
Reporting to the Senior Director, the selected candidate鈥檚 duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintain timely communication with the Senior Director regarding project updates, operational needs, and emerging issues.
- Respond professionally to emails, inquiries, and meeting requests, and serve as the primary monitor for the DOFEmployeeConnect mailbox and other assigned mailboxes.
- Safeguard confidential personnel and operational information in accordance with agency policies.
- Interact courteously and professionally with agency staff and represent the unit at meetings and workgroups.
- Support daily unit operations and provide guidance to staff in the absence of supervisory leadership.
- Assist with SharePoint-related activities, including gathering requirements, monitoring site functionality, reporting issues, reviewing documents for accuracy, and preparing basic user guides and training materials.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and enhancements.
- Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence.
- Maintain organized records for weekly, monthly, and annual reporting cycles.
- Assist in compiling metrics, including Corruption Hazards Reports, Comptroller Directive 1 submissions, and training dashboards.
- Review data for accuracy and coordinate with managers to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely submissions.
- Support special projects and program initiatives by conducting basic research, preparing draft documents, tracking deadlines, and following up on pending items.
- Assist with training needs assessments, coordination of DCAS and agency-specific training programs, preparation of training materials, and maintenance of training records.
- Support planning and execution of special events and unit initiatives.

This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed between the City and the Collective Bargaining Unit representing employees serving in the civil service title.
