The Office of Training Operations provides the critical link between staff development and worker understanding of policy for execution of agency programs. The Office of Training Operations (OTO) unit is responsible for all aspects of curriculum development and training delivery of social services policies and procedures for programs administered by DSS/HRA/DHS including but not limited to Cash Assistance, and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); employment, education and engagement programs, Medicaid and Social Security Assistance, Customized Assistance Services, services to immigrants, refugees and non-citizen, domestic violence
programs, childcare and housing subsidies.
The Office of Policy, Procedures and Training (OPPT) is recruiting for one (1) Associate Staff Analyst to function as Senior Project Analyst for their Office of Logistical Support Operations.
Under the direction of the Director of Support Operations with wide latitude for independent judgment, the Senior Project Analyst is responsible for difficult, important ongoing and new projects of the Office of Policy, Procedures and Training in support of ongoing training site operations. This position determines the proper way to implement new initiatives, develops project plans, and coordinates the implementation.
The Senior Project Analyst will:
- Prepare extensive and complex floor diagrams, management reports, construction orders and schema related to training facility development and maintenance. Determines viability, accuracy and appropriateness of site requests and makes recommendations to the Director of Support Operations.
- Collect and analyze multifaceted logistical data performing cost/benefit analysis, analyzing performance and usage data; analyze inventories and catalogs materials, equipment and supplies for several training locations.
- Analyze project plans making feasibility recommendations to Director of Support Operations.
- Make regular and frequent site visits to evaluate facility status and service delivery reviewing records and meeting with location staff to determine needs and recommend improvements to Director of Support Operations. -
- Provide audio visual services or instruction to staff in use of audio-visual equipment and supplies including delivery to site locations of same. Catalogs audio video training materials and maintains equipment and supplies arranging for repair as needed. May provide assistance to other agency departments on request.
- Coordinate implementation of short-term special projects of moderate difficulty for OPPT as required such as providing logistical support at conferences, events and workshops. May have to perform procurement assignments; maintains the printers and copiers at 4 World Trade Center assigned to OPPT
