The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced lawyer to join our Global Financial Markets (GFM) practice in New York as a Knowledge Lawyer. This newly created role is to support and lead the development and be a key resource to our associates to enhance their technical and commercial skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Associate Development and Support:
- Design, implement, and deliver structured training programs to build both legal expertise and commercial acumen among associates.
- Act as a readily available resource for associates, providing guidance and support on recurring or foundational legal and commercial issues.
- Work closely with our Talent team to identify and address operational inefficiencies related to associate training and knowledge gaps.
- Monitor and assess associate progress, identifying further development needs and adapting training accordingly.
- Facilitate regular feedback sessions with associates to ensure training remains relevant and impactful.
Training Materials and Knowledge Resources:
- Develop, curate, and maintain a comprehensive suite of practice-specific resources, including toolkits, templates, checklists, and precedents.
- Ensure resources are easily accessible and regularly updated to reflect current market practice and legal developments.
- Collaborate with lawyers across the firm鈥檚 global network to share best practices and contribute to firm-wide knowledge management initiatives.
- Provide timely updates and guidance to the team and associates via emails, meetings, and training sessions to support their day-to-day activities.
Thought Leadership and Innovation:
- Produce thought leadership pieces and practical guidance for associates, including the integration of AI and other innovative tools.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the GFM practice.
Onboarding and Tailored Training:
- Deliver tailored induction and training programs for new joiners, ensuring a smooth transition and rapid upskilling.
- Curate and promote accessible training opportunities and relevant resources to support ongoing associate development.
